Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Chartered Electrical Engineer to join the Energy unit's Transmission & Distribution division. You will work on renewable generation, network design, and grid connections from concept to commissioning, supporting major infrastructure projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
• Proven skills, capabilities and experience in the sector areas mentioned above
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Co-ordinate with multi disciplines both internal and external
• Experience in electrical project engineering with focus on installations from LV up to 11kV/33kV
• Be competent in the use of MS packages
• Be aware of bid procedures and internal governance
• Be aware of procurement, construction and commissioning activities
• Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas
• Must have initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to make decisions

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and project leadership in electrical designs for major electrical and multi-disciplinary infrastructure works
• Manage engineering projects and deliverables to meet client expectations and regulatory specifications
• Support development of junior staff and graduates
• Contribute to bids and proposals and project planning, delivery and execution
