An educational institution in Twickenham is looking for a Technician to support students and staff in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering section. This full-time role includes preparing and maintaining equipment, demonstrating its use, and supervising students in workshops. Candidates should have a Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, relevant experience, and effective communication skills. We are seeking a Technician to support students and staff in our Electrical / Electronic Engineering section at our Richmond Campus. You would prepare and maintain equipment for use by lecturing staff and students, demonstrate the use of equipment and support the teaching teams in their delivery of the curriculum. You would also supervise students in the workshop ensuring that they comply with health and safety requirements and good workshop practice. Candidates would be expected to have a flexible approach.
You will need to possess a Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, relevant experience in this area and the ability to work effectively with young people aged 16 - 19. You should have a good understanding of health and safety requirements and good communication skills.
This is a full-time role, 36 hours per week and is a 1 year Fixed Term Contract. Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London's most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old's and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and developed a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre in September 2024.
