Job summary

SSE is seeking a passionate Quality Engineer to join the Quality team in a busy Commercial & Connections environment. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, upholding quality standards, and delivering compliant, customer-focused services.

You'll work across diverse projects, influence business performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape a culture of quality and excellence. Lean Six Sigma experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HNC with relevant quality management or improvement experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience producing reports and KPIs in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify quality, compliance and operational risks and ensure corrective actions are timely.
• Conduct quality reviews of quotations and designs for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support continual improvement of engineering processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Ensure quotations by the design team are compliant and aligned with standards.
• Provide assurance that quality management processes are applied across the business.
