Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. This permanent, full-time role sits at the heart of the Commercial & Connections business, driving continuous improvement and championing quality standards.

You'll work across projects with stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive performance. The role offers a Flexible First approach with base location in the UK and a 50% office presence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or an HNC with substantial quality management experience.
• Strong analytical skills and precision in detail; experience with ISO 9001:2015 is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience producing reports and KPIs; ability to present to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify quality, compliance and operational risks and drive corrective actions within agreed timescales.
• Review Engineering Connections quotations and designs for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Ensure quotations from the design team are accurate and aligned with standards and policies.
• Provide assurance that quality management processes are consistently applied across the business.
