Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited invites undergraduates to join its Laboratory Test Means development team in Bristol for a 12.5-month placement. You will develop and modify test rigs used for Fuel and Landing Gear systems, working in a dynamic, hands-on environment with hazardous equipment and strict safety protocols.

You will gain experience from requirements capture through design, manufacturing, integration and commissioning, including creating electrical schematics and PCB layouts using AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only; must be an undergraduate for the placement duration.
• Experience with 3D drawing tools and basic physics/math.
• Commitment to safety protocols and collaborative hands-on work.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development of new test rigs from requirements to manufacturing and commissioning.
• Modify existing rigs to support new test requests.
• Troubleshoot rig issues and ensure reliability.
• Produce electrical schematics and PCB layouts using AutoCAD.
• Work in a non-office environment with prototyping and test rigs.
