Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol invites undergraduates to join the Laboratory Test Means development team as interns for 12.5 months. You will work on end-to-end development of test rigs, modify rigs for new tests, and troubleshoot issues in a hands-on environment involving avionics and fluids.

The role requires an undergraduate in electrical/electronics/mechatronics with 3D drawing tool experience and good communication skills. UK BPSS/SC checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student working towards a degree in electrical/electronics/mechatronics.
• Experience with 3D drawing tools; modules in fluid mechanics, mathematics, physics.
• Committed to safety protocols and hands-on engineering environments; collaborative mindset.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development of new test rigs from requirements to commissioning.
• Modify existing test rigs to support new tests.
• Troubleshoot test rig issues.
• Create electrical schematics and PCB layouts using AutoCAD.
• Work in hands-on prototyping environments with avionic and fluid rigs.
