Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for an Elective Access Team Leader to drive waiting list management and access targets across the Neurosciences Directorate as the Surgical Elective Centre expands. You will lead the Elective Access and Waiting List Teams and coordinate with clinical services to ensure prioritisation and timely booking.

Qualifications

• Line management experience within a NHS or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of the 18-week RTT pathway and cancer access standards.
• Experience working within Elective Access or Waiting List management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Elective Access and Waiting List Teams.
• Oversee Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) and waiting list management to meet targets.
• Support RTT and Cancer Access standards delivery across services.
• Lead clinical prioritisation and chronological booking across outpatient and inpatient activity.
• Train staff on RTT rules and guidance under the direction of the Patient Access Manager.
• Cover vacancies or sickness within the elective access team as required.
