Job summary

Keoghs seeks a Multi-Track File Handler in Leeds to join the Claims Management department. The role focuses on managing a mixed EL/PL multi-track caseload, handling pre-litigation where applicable, and liaising with clients and insurers.

You will work within the Corporate Sector Risks Practice, progress files through the Case Management System, draft pleadings, attend court as needed, and help meet targets for chargeable hours, WIP and client MI.

Qualifications

• EL/PL multi-track file handling experience required.
• Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate via telephone and prepare concise reports.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Keoghs clients and liaise with clients and insurers where appropriate.
• Manage a mixed caseload of EL/PL predominantly multi-track cases, typically £25k-£100k.
• Assess liability and quantum and devise strategies to resolve cases.
• Progress files through the Case Management System from receipt to closure.
• Draft pleadings including Defences and witness evidence; attend court as required.
• Aim to meet targets for chargeable hours, WIP and client MI.
• Adhere to the Keoghs Values.
