Job summary

Keoghs' Retail Team is recruiting an Intermediate / Multi Track File Handler to manage a caseload of EL/PL claims. The role involves predominantly litigated work and exposure to pre-litigation through to conclusion, with opportunities for professional development.

The position sits within Keoghs' Corporate Sector Risk Practice, serving high-profile retail clients and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality legal services.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Employers' Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) Intermediate and/or Multi Track claims.
• Experience supervising or supporting the development of colleagues within a legal environment.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills with ability to develop team members.
• Positive, confident and enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of EL and PL claims, predominantly Intermediate/Multi Track.
• Assess liability, causation, and quantum for commercial advice.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members in line with competency frameworks.
• Develop and implement case strategies to achieve outcomes.
• Utilise Case Management System to progress files from instruction to conclusion.
• Draft legal documents such as Defences and witness statements.
• Attend hearings, trials, and conferences, in person or remotely.
