Job summary

Keoghs is recruiting an Intermediate / Multi Track File Handler in Liverpool to manage a caseload of non-delegated EL and PL claims. The role focuses on mainly litigated files, with progression from pre-litigation through to conclusion, within a collaborative retail team.

The successful candidate will handle diverse claims, supervise juniors, and contribute to achieving team targets while maintaining compliance with SRA standards and Keoghs values.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling EL and PL Intermediate/Multi Track claims.
• Experience supervising or mentoring colleagues in a legal environment.
• Strong mentoring, coaching and supervision skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with client relationship management.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills; ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of EL/PL claims, mainly Intermediate/Multi Track valued £25,000–£100,000.
• Assess liability, causation and quantum; provide commercially focused advice.
• Develop and supervise junior team members within the competency framework.
• Draft pleadings, defences and witness statements as required.
• Attend hearings, trials and conferences in person or remotely; ensure progression from instruction to conclusion.
