Job summary

OCU Group is seeking an EICA Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering electrical, instrumentation, control and automation solutions for water and wastewater projects across the UK and internationally. The role is office/site based in Bridgend, with permanent, full-time employment.

You will contribute to concept through detailed design and construction support, ensuring compliance with UK standards and CDM.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, ICA Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience in UK water and/or wastewater projects.
Strong understanding of EICA systems, controls, and automation.
Experience producing technical design documentation and engineering deliverables.
Knowledge of UK water industry standards, codes, and WIMES specifications.
Experience working in Design & Build or contractor-led environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver EICA design solutions across water and wastewater treatment projects
Produce and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Support the delivery of projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and clients
Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, HAZOPs, and safety assessments
Assess existing infrastructure and develop practical EICA solutions for treatment and pumping systems
Ensure designs comply with UK standards, WIMES, CDM Regulations, and project requirements
Support safe design practices including design risk assessments and engineering governance
