Job summary

OCU is seeking an EICA Engineer in Bridgend, Wales, to deliver electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation solutions for water and wastewater projects across the UK. The role involves concept through detailed design, with a fast-paced Design & Build environment.

You will contribute to calculations, drawings, reports, and governance while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. This permanent, site-based position offers growth in a leading infrastructure group.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, ICA Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater UK projects.
• Knowledge of EICA systems, controls, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EICA design solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Produce and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Support project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and safety assessments.
• Assess existing infrastructure and develop practical EICA solutions for treatment and pumping systems.
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards, WIMES, CDM regulations, and project requirements.
