Job summary

IRIS Education seeks a Solutions Consultant to shape scoping and define Statements of Work during the sales-to-delivery handoff. You will help customers and project teams agree on success criteria before implementation begins.

You'll work across IRIS Education, collaborating with Sales, Pre-Sales and delivery specialists. This is a standalone role with support from Professional Services leadership as you establish a consistent scoping approach.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering and challenging business requirements.
• Experience writing Statements of Work or scoping documents.
• Clear, precise writing and attention to assumptions and exclusions.
• Commercial awareness of how scope affects cost and timelines.
• Experience with software sales, implementation or delivery teams.
• Confidence with senior stakeholders and resetting expectations.

Responsibilities

• Get involved when customers buy new software or expand use.
• Ask questions that matter and identify gaps, risks and dependencies.
• Explore objectives, operations, data and constraints through discovery.
• Create clear Statements of Work with deliverables, milestones and exclusions.
• Balance ambition with practicality and clarify scope and risk.
• Provide a well-structured handover to delivery teams for start of delivery.
• Develop knowledge across our education software portfolio and reusable templates.
