Job summary

Educato Limited is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our Middleton-based school on a full-time basis. You will support pupils with additional needs 1:1 and in small groups, aiding learning, communication and social development within a nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with teachers and the support team to promote positive behaviour, build strong relationships with pupils, and adapt activities to meet individual needs throughout the school day.

Qualifications

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an education or SEND setting.
  • Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Be confident building positive relationships with pupils.
  • Be proactive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have full-time availability.
  • Hold a valid Child Workforce DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • SEND experience or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential

Job description

A welcoming and supportive specialist SEND provision in Middleton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, with a strong focus on supporting their academic, social and emotional development. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils throughout the school day, helping to create a positive learning environment and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
