Job summary

Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing educational environment? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Middleton, where every child's progress is celebrated and every achievement matters.

As an SEN Classroom Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and personally, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.


Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will:



  • Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of pupils.

  • Assist with delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities.

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.

  • Help children overcome barriers to learning and achieve individual targets.

  • Build positive relationships with teachers, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
