Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow its footprint in the education / Hard FM sector. Based in the Kent region with hybrid working and national reach, you will generate opportunities, cultivate relationships with universities, colleges and public-sector bodies, and close contracts.

You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, with autonomy to manage your diary and meet clients, building a sustainable pipeline.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development or sales within hard FM, M&E, or related sector.
• Experience winning new business and building a pipeline in education, healthcare, public sector or similar.
• Strong understanding of the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Ability to read tender/procurement processes and convert conversations into contracts.

Responsibilities

• Open doors and identify new opportunities in education and related public-sector markets.
• Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of new business across the UK.
• Develop relationships with universities, colleges and other decision-makers to secure contracts.
• Close opportunities through effective negotiation and proposal development.
