Job summary

SENSE Learning Education Assistant in Thame offers one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners in homes and community settings. You will deliver sessions using our curriculum aligned to EHCP areas, helping students thrive with personalised activities and holistic care.

The role emphasizes confidence building, emotional regulation, and life skills. Flexible hours and self-employed status provide in-person, hybrid, and community-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• DBS check and references required.
• Ability to work in a child-centred, holistic way.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 home and community support with creative learning activities.
• Help develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies.
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support.
