Job summary

SENse Learning seeks Education Mentors to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people in Havant and surrounding areas. Mentors work in homes and communities, delivering creative activities while focusing on confidence, life skills, and independence.

Role emphasizes safeguarding, a child-centred approach, and flexibility in scheduling with families and schools. Ideal candidates have DBS clearance and prior related experience within SEND or education support.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• DBS enhanced check is required and references are preferred.
• Strong understanding of SEND/SEMH needs and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings.
• Deliver one-to-one mentoring with creative, interest-based activities.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
