Job summary

Coventry College is seeking a motivated HR Advisor to support both HR and Payroll functions, ensuring smooth processes across the employee lifecycle. The role emphasizes proactive HR advice, effective issue resolution, and a strong customer service mindset within a dynamic FE environment.

You will work with hourly and term-time staff, ensuring compliance and accurate payroll handling, while upholding safeguarding and equality commitments in a forward-thinking college setting.

Qualifications

• Must have CIPD Level 3 in People Practice (Foundation)
• Level 2 in English & Maths
• Experience of the HR operational environment in Further Education
• Experience of using CINTRA or comparable HR & Payroll systems
• Experience of working with hourly employees and term-time only holiday calculations
• Previous generalist HR experience with a range of HR operational matters

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR and Payroll support across the employee lifecycle
• Deliver specialist HR advice to the organisation to support strategic aims
• Manage HR operational tasks and ensure timely resolution of issues
• Support safeguarding, DBS checks, and statutory compliance as part of shortlisting and recruitment processes
