Job summary

School:Home Support is seeking a Family Support Practitioner to join our team at a school setting in Blackpool. You will deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and families we support, focusing on attendance, punctuality and engagement.

You will build strong relationships with pupils, parents and school staff, using holistic approaches and safeguarding processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in education settings to improve attendance and engagement.
• Engagement with parents/carers and children through individual or group support.
• Understanding factors affecting a child's ability to learn.
• Experience working with families from diverse communities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding processes and referral routes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and families we support.
• Focus on improving attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.
• Work in close partnership with school staff to deliver the programme and support services.
