Job summary

School:Home Support seeks a Family Support Practitioner to join the team at The Grange Academy, Bushey. You will work with school staff to deliver casework that promotes improved educational outcomes for children and their families, with a focus on attendance and engagement.

Based at the setting, you will build strong relationships with parents, carers and pupils, using safeguarding processes and referral routes to ensure safeguarding and wellbeing. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in education settings to improve attendance and engagement
• Experience engaging with parents/carers and children
• Familiarity with safeguarding processes and DBS checks
• Ability to work with families from diverse communities

Responsibilities

• Based at The Grange Academy, Bushey, deliver a programme of casework to promote educational outcomes for children and families
• Support improvements in attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning
• Build strong relationships with school staff, parents and carers to coordinate support
• Follow safeguarding practices and referral routes to safeguard children
