Job summary

School-Home Support is seeking a Family Support Practitioner in Blackpool to work with schools and families to promote attendance and learning engagement. The role is permanent, full-time (2.5 days per week with term-time weeks) and requires safeguarding awareness.

You will deliver intensive casework, support families across diverse communities and help children to stay on track with their education, attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Experience in education settings to improve attendance and engagement.
• Ability to work with parents, carers and children individually or in groups.
• Understanding factors affecting learning and attendance.
• Experience with safeguarding processes and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a program of casework to promote educational outcomes.
• Improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.
• Work in partnership with school staff to support families.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and act via referrals.
