Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor for a part-time role (25 hours per week) across our catering and service operations. The position covers a 43.6-week year and requires overseeing kitchens and service counters to deliver exceptional food experiences.

DBS checks apply as part of safeguarding requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least two years in catering, a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, and strong communication skills to lead teams

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to maintain service quality.
• Regularly communicate with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I, maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and our culinary/service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Train and support teams to excel in their roles.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across teams.
