MDPI in Manchester is seeking a bright recent PhD or Master's graduate to join our Editorial team as Assistant Editor, an entry-level, full-time, in-office role based in the city centre.

You will support the editorial process for peer review, coordinate editorial decisions, handle email communications, and work with production staff to move manuscripts from submission to publication. Training is provided, with opportunities to attend conferences and engage with scholars.

Qualifications

• A PhD (preferred) or Master's degree in a field related to materials science.

Responsibilities

• Support the editorial process for academic journals in your domain of expertise
• Organize peer review and coordinate editorial decisions
• Handle email communications between parties in the publication process
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams
• Ensure scholarly articles are edited and published to deadlines with consistency
