About the Role

The District Operations Manager leads the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of multiple concrete plants within their district. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, they oversee Area Operations Managers, Site/Project Coordinators, and Project Managers for key projects, acting as the escalation point and managing interfaces between commercial, operations, and logistics. The role emphasizes operational efficiency, project management, leadership, continuous improvement, and customer service, requiring strategic vision, talent development, and operational excellence to enhance project capabilities and collaboration with contractors.

You will be responsible for
  1. Developing strategic operational plans and budgets for the district.
  2. Providing timely reports, including variance analysis and action plans, to the Regional Operations Manager.
  3. Delivering district-level and plant operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiencies across production, maintenance, and distribution.
  4. Managing and coaching Area Operations Managers, ensuring accountability and team development.
  5. Overseeing financial performance and implementing cost-reduction strategies.
  6. Leading a diverse team to maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, fostering a high-performance culture.
  7. Delivering exceptional customer satisfaction aligned with client expectations.
  8. Driving innovation and operational improvements in a competitive market.
  9. Continuously improving plant performance, cost control, and team capabilities.
  10. Managing priorities and resources to achieve district and organizational goals.
About you
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Operations is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction-related industries, preferably concrete or aggregates.
  • Proven leadership in managing multi-site operations.
  • Hands-on experience in operational improvement, cost management, and SHE compliance.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience with SAP, Excel, Word, MS Project.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
