Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for Primary schools in Liverpool City Centre and North Liverpool. The role involves planning and delivering lessons in line with school curricula, assessing pupil progress, and maintaining high expectations to drive outcomes.

Applicants should have an enhanced DBS, the right to work in the UK, a PGCE (or equivalent) with a degree, QTS, and in-school teaching experience, plus fluent English speaking and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure and professional reference checks.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• 5 GCSEs grade 9–4 (A*-C) including English, Maths and Science.
• PGCE or equivalent with an undergraduate degree.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• In-school teaching experience.
• Fluent level of English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons in line with school plans and schemes of work.
• Assess, monitor, and report pupil progress.
• Maintain high expectations and promote progress for all pupils.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice.
• Administer end-of-key-stage assessments where appropriate.
• Develop effective teaching strategies to support pupil learning.

We are seeking passionate ECT's for our based Primary schools in Liverpool City Centre and North Liverpool!

Main Duties

• Plan and teach lessons and sequences of lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils. Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Administer end of KS testing and assessment where appropriate
• Develop and demonstrate specialist teaching strategies consistently within the classroom
• Maintain a sound knowledge of statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording and reporting pupil progress

• An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
• Legal right to work in the UK
