Ecommerce Assistant

Part-Time (3 Days/Week)

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Reports to: Founder

gus + beau creates stylish, modern playmats designed to blend beautifully into family homes. Our modular playmats seamlessly join together to create a safe, padded surface for little ones – designed to complement modern interiors and help keep family spaces feeling calm.

We’re looking for an organized, proactive Ecommerce Assistant to support the daily operations of our online store and digital marketing efforts, helping us grow our beloved playmat brand, gus + beau.

You will report directly to our founder, Liz, and play a key role in maintaining our website's aesthetics, ensuring timely email campaigns, and keeping content consistent across channels. If you are detail-oriented, experienced with Shopify, have a good eye for design, and love stylish children’s products, we’d love to hear from you.

The hours are flexible—you can work around school runs, naps, or nursery days. As long as the work is completed, you are free to structure your week as you see fit.

Responsibilities include:

1. Shopify management: update product listings, images, homepage, and collections
2. UX improvements: support tweaks to navigation, layout, and customer journeys
3. Marketing calendar: assist in planning and scheduling campaigns across email, blog, and Instagram
4. Email marketing: create and send emails using Klaviyo (flows and campaigns)
5. Blog: write and upload engaging blog posts in our brand voice
6. Instagram: create and schedule posts with approved visuals and copy
7. Photoshoot management: help plan and coordinate brand photoshoots, liaise with photographers, select final imagery
8. Content creator management: liaise with influencers, manage gifting, and track content and usage
9. Customer service: assist with responding to customer queries

Requirements:

• Experience with Shopify: essential
• Familiarity with Klaviyo: a plus
• Excellent written English and attention to detail
• A proactive attitude—willing to ask questions, suggest ideas, and get involved
• Comfort working remotely and independently with clear deadlines
• Interest in baby/parenting/lifestyle brands is a bonus
