Ecommerce Trading Assistant
Full-Time Kingston-Upon-Thames

Purpose of the role:
We’re
looking for a bright, analytical Ecommerce Trading Assistant with a passion
about all things digital to join our Ecommerce team. With a focus on Ben
Sherman, you’ll play a key role in optimising online sales and conversion
rates, while supporting the onboarding of new brands within the Crew Clothing
Group portfolio as part of our ambitious growth strategy.
Based in
Head Office and reporting into the Ecommerce Trading Manager, you will be
supporting the day-to-day trading of the Ben Sherman websites by ensuring that
all product content is delivered on time in an accurate and compelling way, and
by providing regular trade reporting and analysis to optimise performance.
Responsibilities:
On-site
Product Management and Trading
- Support the Ecommerce Trading Manager with the
day-to-day trading of the website - Manage the on-site product launch process,
working with the Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure product images and
copy are compelling and always uploaded on time - Maximise cross-selling opportunities by
maintaining outfitting recommendations for each product - Work with Merchandising to ensure products are
effectively merchandised and assigned to the correct categories, moving into
Sale categories when relevant - Manage on-site promotional activity including
set-up, testing, communicating activity with the Retail and Customer Service
teams, analysing performance and reporting back on code redemption from new
versus existing customers - Ensure any products featured in marketing
activity, promotions and website features are live on-site, fully optimised and
supported with stock - Work closely with the Customer Service team to
receive and act on feedback regarding the website in order to improve
end-to-end customer experience - Conduct weekly quality control checks to
maintain high standards across the site - Conduct weekly review of retail bestsellers
and low-converting products to identify opportunities for the website to
increase sales of those lines - Maintain and manage the Trading and Marketing Calendar,
ensuring key dates, promotions, campaigns and marketing activity are captured - Support the Ecommerce Trading Manager and Digital Marketing
Manager in recommending the optimum products to feature in emails and website
content to maximise sales performance - Support the Ecommerce Trading Manager with monthly/seasonal
planning activity - Develop strong, collaborative relationships
across all departments, especially Ecommerce, Marketing and Merchandising, to
be known as the web production point of contact
Reporting
- Support the Ecommerce Trading Manager to
produce the weekly trade pack each Monday - Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics
and heatmaps to monitor and report back on overall website, category and
product performance, along with actions to improve - Report on website and company bestsellers and
work with the Merchandising team to ensure those lines have sufficient stock to
support predicted sales expectations - Communicate
the number of lines launched on the site the previous week and highlight any issues
such as late deliveries and missing assets
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience within a
similar commercial environment, having previously used Google Analytics
and/or other tools to assess website performance
- A passion for
Ecommerce is essential and a desire to work in a fast-paced retail
environment
- A trading mentality –
curious about numbers, able to investigate and challenge performance and action
orientated.
- Strong analytical
skills, confident working in Microsoft Excel and able to translate
findings into new ideas and recommendations
- Conscientious and
self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and
collaboratively across Head Office teams
- Able to grasp
multiple technical systems quickly - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and
prioritise work calmly in order to meet deadlines - Have energy, the willingness to be flexible and get stuck-in in order to
meet the needs of the business and make a tangible difference to performance
and customer - Great communication skills, both written and oral and with a keen
attention to detail
