Job description

Great opportunity for a professional Business Development Manager to join one of the fastest-growing packaging manufacturers in the UK. The company is part of a global group with over 170 locations across 20 countries.

Basic Salary:

£50,000 - £55,000

Job Description:

The role involves managing existing accounts and developing new business across various market sectors in the West Midlands. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver new business sales aligned with company capabilities.
  2. Manage and develop existing client relationships.
  3. Maintain and update a sales pipeline regularly.
  4. Cross-sell to existing and new customers across all company sites.
  5. Achieve new business targets and manage accounts.
  6. Plan and oversee new market initiatives.
  7. Develop goals for the development team and business growth.
Person Specification:

Candidates should have a proven track record in sales, ideally within the packaging industry (Heavy Duty or Timber), or related sectors such as supplies, flexible packaging, or cartons. Essential qualities include excellent communication, organizational skills, self-drive, results orientation, credibility, reliability, and professionalism.
