Candidate Profile

To succeed in this role, you should be self-motivated and passionate about being a trusted business partner in the optical market, with relevant optical knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sales within Regional Key Accounts
  • Ensure the Area Sales team meets revenue and profit targets
  • Expand existing customer base and distribution channels, especially in underperforming areas
  • Monitor and report on sales performance to identify successes and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop promotional campaigns supporting brand growth
  • Support the Key Accounts team in managing retailer relationships and sales initiatives
  • Increase product distribution, find new customers, and develop distribution routes
  • Work with Supply Chain to improve customer service and operational efficiency
  • Enhance IT use within the sales team to improve communication and control
Qualifications
  • Further Education qualification in an Optical-related subject or extensive sales experience with proven success
  • Degree or similar in a business-related field
  • Professional qualification or membership in a professional optics body
Essential Skills and Experience
  • 5-10 years' sales experience, including senior management roles
  • Proven success in growth initiatives and target achievement
  • Experience motivating and managing sales teams
  • Strong background in B2B sales
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience selling to retail outlets
  • Ambitious, adaptable, and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of dispensing, Hoya lenses, and competitor lenses
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems like Salesforce
