Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby seeks an EC&I Engineer to lead electrical, controls and instrumentation design for nuclear facilities. You will drive I&C aspects across the full lifecycle, coordinating with RR and external partners to deliver on-time, compliant solutions.

Responsibilities include modeling facility-level control design, ensuring safety-case alignment, and conducting peer reviews of EC&I documents. A strong background in nuclear safety and PLC-based systems is required.

Qualificações

• Experience delivering projects through full lifecycle: requirements, design, detailing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control design, distribution systems and safety cases for nuclear facilities.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA/DCS, and industrial network protocols (Profibus/Profinet/ASI).
• Familiarity with safety-related control systems and BS 61508/61511/61513 concepts.
• Electrical/EC&I or related engineering degree or equivalent."

Responsabilidades

• Act as Intelligent Customer for Instrumentation & Control aspects of facility design and coordinate with RR and partners.
• Model facility-level control design following requirements, specs, FAT/SAT, and handover docs.
• Define EC&I functional requirements ensuring safety case compliance.
• Perform technical peer reviews of EC&I documents produced by team members.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals to meet customer requirements.
