Rolls-Royce Derby invites an Electronics Engineer to join the In-Service Electrical – Submarines team. The role focuses on reviewing high level electrical requirements, translating them into validated designs, and delivering electrical components that meet stringent standards.

The engineer will model and simulate to verify behaviour and support long-term strategic goals, with responsibilities to develop and maintain procedures and training materials.

Job TitleElectronics Engineer In-Service Electrical - SubmarinesPosition SummaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electronic Engineer to join our In Service Electrical Department at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. The In-Service Electrical Department supports the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK.

What you will be doing
  • Reviewing and agreeing high level electrical requirements including their testability.
  • Analysing and translating high level requirements into a validated design for the electrical component.
  • Designing and implementing electrical designs to meet the high level requirements and design constraints/standards.
  • Analysing electrical designs for functional behaviour, including modelling and simulation to demonstrate that the design meets the high level requirements.
  • Participating and supporting capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for the department, in conjunction with the department
    managers.
  • Developing, implementing, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, associated guidelines, tools and training as required.
