The Company

This is a rare opportunity to join a financially secure, engineering-led manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for delivering technically advanced products to sectors including Renewables, Industrial, Defence, and Oil & Gas.

With a heritage built on quality, precision, and innovation, they are trusted by many of the UK's leading engineering operators and OEMs. The business combines deep engineering expertise with a collaborative culture where relationships matter and long-term thinking is rewarded.

As they continue to strengthen their commercial leadership team, they are now looking for a National Sales Manager to oversee both key account growth and sales team performance.

The Role

This is a hybrid senior sales leadership role that combines hands-on key account management with the opportunity to lead and coach a small, experienced sales team. The focus is twofold:

  • Nurturing and expanding the business's top 20 long-term customer accounts
  • Driving performance and support across the sales function

This is a key commercial role, responsible for maintaining high service levels, identifying new growth opportunities, and ensuring the team aligns with the company's high standards and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Managing and developing the company's top 20 high-value strategic accounts
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a small sales team
  • Creating account growth strategies aligned with evolving client needs
  • Engaging regularly with stakeholders across Renewables, Defence, Oil & Gas, and Industrial markets
  • Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure technical alignment
  • Delivering accurate sales forecasts and contributing to long-term commercial strategy
The Rewards

A basic salary of £60,000 - £70,000 is on offer, along with a bonus scheme, company car/allowance, and associated benefits. You will have a hybrid working environment supported by a well-established senior management team with significant industry experience.

The Candidate

You will be a confident, commercially focused solutions-led sales professional with a passion for long-term customer partnerships. You should have strategic account management experience, with either current or aspiring leadership experience in building or managing a sales team.
