Job summary

Northern is seeking a Train Presentation Regional Manager in Leeds to lead the East Region teams and ensure trains are presented to the highest standards. You will balance people, performance and safety while driving continuous improvement across depots and TrainCare Centres.

This role involves budgeting, resource planning and collaborating with unions and third-party partners to deliver a safe, reliable and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in a customer-focused environment.
• Collaborative leadership style with the confidence to motivate, coach and support colleagues through change.
• Good working knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment and materials.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, COSHH awareness.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership across multiple Train Presentation locations to ensure high safety and quality standards.
• Plan people and resources to meet train service needs and changing priorities.
• Drive consistent cleaning standards and improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Build relationships with depot teams, operations, unions and third-party partners to deliver shared goals.
• Manage budgets, stock and equipment to ensure resources are available when needed.
• Monitor performance through audits and data, using insights to improve standards and engagement.
• Lead investigations into accidents and incidents and implement lessons learned.
• Recruit, coach and develop staff, fostering a supportive and successful environment.
• Lead change initiatives while maintaining safety and operational excellence.
