Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for a warm, supportive primary school in Warwick. The role is full-time from October on a long-term basis, focusing on EYFS, one-to-one and small-group support, and helping children develop confidence and foundational literacy and numeracy.

You will work closely with the class teacher, deliver phonics help, monitor progress, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS or school setting.
• Qualification in EY, Childcare, Education, or Teaching Assistance.
• Strong EYFS knowledge to support early development.
• Experience with phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
• Patient, caring, and supportive with good communication.
• DBS on update service or issued within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the Early Years teacher with day-to-day classroom operations.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support based on individual needs.

A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Warwick is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from October on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background in Early Years who is looking for a consistent role supporting children

The school is seeking a caring and reliable individual who genuinely enjoys working with young children. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Early Years development, be patient and encouraging, and be able to build positive relationships with pupils while creating a calm and enjoyable learning environment

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Support the Early Years teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to children based on their individual needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils develop their learning and confidence.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and other classroom activities.
• Encourage children to develop their independence, communication, and social skills.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Support children at different stages of their development and adapt activities where necessary.

To be successful in this Early Years Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

• Previous experience working with children in an Early Years or school setting.
• A relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, or Teaching Assistance.
• A good understanding of the EYFS and how it supports children’s early development.
• Experience working with children individually or in small groups.
• An understanding of early phonics, communication, literacy, and numeracy.
• A patient, caring, and supportive nature when working with young children.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers and other school staff.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and support them in a calm and encouraging way.
• Someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and happy to get involved in all aspects of classroom life.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and the importance of keeping children safe and well.
• A DBS on the update service, or issued within the last 12 months.
