Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for a warm, supportive primary school in Warwick. The role is full-time from October on a long-term basis, focusing on EYFS, one-to-one and small-group support, and helping children develop confidence and foundational literacy and numeracy.

You will work closely with the class teacher, deliver phonics help, monitor progress, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS or school setting.
• Qualification in EY, Childcare, Education, or Teaching Assistance.
• Strong EYFS knowledge to support early development.
• Experience with phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
• Patient, caring, and supportive with good communication.
• DBS on update service or issued within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the Early Years teacher with day-to-day classroom operations.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support based on individual needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions to develop learning and confidence.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and other activities.
• Encourage independence, communication, and social skills.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Support children at different development stages and adapt activities accordingly.
• Help create a safe, stimulating, inclusive environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and general organization.
