Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is working with Bath nurseries and primary schools to place Early Years Support Staff starting as soon as possible. Roles include Nursery Assistants and Learning Support Staff, supporting EYFS learners one-to-one or in small groups and helping them gain confidence through play.

We offer flexible working, weekly PAYE, local Bath opportunities, and long-term, short-term, or daily roles with dedicated consultants and access to training and development.

Qualifications

• Passport or right to work in the UK.
• Two proofs of address.
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education.
• Two years of references, including childcare references where applicable.
• DBS check and DBS Update Service.
• Qualifications and training appropriate for the role.

Protocol Education is working closely with a range of welcoming nurseries and primary schools across Bath that are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Early Years Support Staff to start as soon as possible.

We're seeking Nursery Assistants and Learning Support Staff who understand that the early years are the foundation for everything that follows. Whether you're supporting a child with their first friendships, encouraging early communication skills, or helping them gain confidence through play, your role will make a real difference every day.

You will be supporting children primarily within EYFS, working one-to-one, in small groups, or alongside class teachers and nursery practitioners to create positive, engaging learning experiences.

The Role

Pay

£14.30 - £15.25 per hour, paid weekly

A Bit About You

• Comfortable supporting children aged 2-5
• Calm, patient and nurturing
• Passionate about helping children learn through play
• Friendly, approachable and able to build positive relationships
• Happy supporting personal care and daily routines where required
• Understanding of children's individual needs, including SEND
• Previous experience in nurseries, schools, childcare or similar settings is desirable

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address (such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill, P45 or P60)
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including childcare references where applicable
• An overseas police check if you've lived overseas for three months or more within the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
