Job summary

The early years of a child's education can shape their confidence for years to come.

We're working with a number of welcoming primary schools across BS6 that are looking for enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their Key Stage 1 teams from October.

These schools are passionate about creating positive learning environments where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping pupils develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside class teachers and wider school staff, you'll help create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for KS1 pupils.

Your role may include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classrooms
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
  • Assisting teachers with engaging and creative learning activities
  • Supporting the development of early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and strong classroom routines
  • Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence
  • Contributing to a nurturing and supportive learning environment

What We Need to Clear You

To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need:

  • Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment and/or education, with any gaps explained
  • References covering the last two years, including education, childcare, or relevant support experience where applicable
  • An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
