Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming Early Years team at a primary school nursery in the BS11 area of North Bristol. You will support children through play and help create a safe, nurturing environment.

We’re looking for someone warm, patient and reliable with experience in nursery or Early Years settings. The role is full-time, with opportunities to contribute to all aspects of nursery life and to foster children's confidence and social development.

We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming and experienced Early Years team at a primary school nursery in the BS11 area of North Bristol.

The nursery takes a child-initiated approach to learning, providing engaging opportunities based around real-life experiences and recognising every child as an individual. You'll work alongside qualified Early Years Practitioners and teachers, helping children develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting children through play and child-led learning
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
• Encouraging children's communication, independence and social development
• Supporting activities and experiences appropriate to each child's needs
• Helping children settle into nursery and develop positive routines
• Working collaboratively with an experienced Early Years team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with nursery or Early Years-aged children
• Is warm, patient, energetic and reliable
• Understands the importance of learning through play
• Can build positive relationships with young children
• Is happy to get involved in all aspects of nursery life
• Ideally holds an Early Years or childcare qualification, although relevant experience will also be considered

The nursery includes provision for both 2 and 3-year-olds, with an established team of qualified Early Years Practitioners and Early Years teachers.

This is a full-time opportunity working up to 5 days per week.

Due to the location of the school, this role is particularly suitable for candidates who live in or around BS11, North Bristol, or have access to a car and can drive to the setting reliably.
