Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking Nursery Assistants, Early Years Practitioners and Learning Support Staff to join nurseries and schools across Bristol, Bath and Keynsham. You will help children aged 2–5 with phonics, play, and early learning in a friendly, safety-first environment.

Roles offer flexible hours, local placements and supportive consultants. Expected duties include assisting with routines, small-group work and 1:1 support to build confidence and independence.

We're looking for Nursery Assistants, Early Years Practitioners and Learning Support Staff who genuinely enjoy helping little ones grow in confidence, curiosity and independence during those all-important early years.

What Your Days Could Look Like

One minute you'll be helping with phonics, the next you'll be knee-deep in messy play or celebrating a child writing their name for the first time.

You could be:

• Supporting children in EYFS and early KS1
• Working 1:1 or with small groups

• Helping children learn through play and exploration
• Supporting routines, snack times and transitions

Pay & Location

• £14.30 to £15.25 per hour
• Bristol and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
