Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a large private day nursery in York seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to support children in the EYFS, delivering engaging activities and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role offers 37 hours per week, with clear progression toward a Room Leader position, and benefits such as discounted childcare and extra annual leave.

Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare are desirable; 37 hours weekly. Nursery located at Hospital Fields Lane, York.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large private day nursery based in York who are looking to appoint a Nursery Practitioner. The nursery is part of an established nursery chain and provides an environment where children can learn, develop and build their confidence through engaging and age-appropriate activities.

The nursery is looking to take on an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner on a full-time, permanent basis with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Practitioner will support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating stimulating activities, maintaining a safe and positive environment and working closely with the nursery team, with the opportunity to progress into a Room Leader position.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare desirable
• Experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to develop professionally
