Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a well-established nursery in Manchester (M20). You will support babies, toddlers and preschool children with play, routines and meals in a safe, nurturing environment.

You'll hold a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification, bring previous nursery experience, and work as part of a friendly Early Years team to promote development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or equivalent
• Previous experience in a nursery/childcare setting
• Good understanding of learning and development for 0-5s
• Nurturing, proactive and confident approach

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 0-5 with play, routines and meals
• Encourage independence and development within a safe environment
• Work closely with the nursery’s Early Years team to maintain high-quality care

The nursery offers a modern, recently improved Early Years environment, with bright and spacious rooms designed around the developmental needs of different age groups. Children have access to engaging indoor learning spaces as well as extensive opportunities for outdoor play, exploration and child‑led learning.

The setting places a strong emphasis on children's individual development, independence and emotional well‑being, providing age‑appropriate activities and experiences that help children build confidence and prepare for the next stage of their education.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 0-5, helping to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. You will support children with play and learning activities, daily routines and mealtimes, encourage independence and development, and work closely with the nursery's established Early Years team to provide consistently high‑quality care.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of supporting the learning and development of children aged 0-5
• A nurturing, proactive and confident approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and well‑being
• The ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of an established nursery team
