A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Tipton is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join their pre-school room from September. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support young children during an important stage of their development, helping them settle into school and build confidence within a nurturing and engaging Early Years environment.
The role will initially involve a phased welcome for the children, supporting them as they become familiar with the setting, routines, staff, and other children. The successful candidate will be caring, patient, and enthusiastic, with previous experience working in an Early Years setting and a relevant Early Years qualification. This is a long-term position contracted until May 2027.
As an Early Years Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children within the school's pre-school room throughout the school day.

  • Helping children settle into the setting through a phased welcome and transition period.

  • Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities and the Early Years curriculum.

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with children, helping them feel safe, confident, and secure.

  • Supporting children's communication, social development, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team to provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

  • Supporting daily routines, transitions, personal care, and classroom organisation where required.

  • Observing children's development and sharing relevant information with the wider team.

To be successful in this Early Years Practitioner role, you will need:
  • A relevant Early Years qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.

  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, such as a nursery, pre-school, or school.

  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.

  • The ability to build strong and positive relationships with young children.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive and flexible attitude.

  • The ability to support children through transitions and new experiences.

  • A DBS on the update service, or issued within the last 12 months.

  • A minimum of two excellent references.

Working as an Early Years Practitioner for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
  • Competitive Salary – £18,049 - £19,500 per annum (based on previous experience).

  • Holiday Pay – PAYE candidates accrue 12.07% of their day rate.

  • Pension Contributions.

  • Free, comprehensive safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, including modules on legislation, FGM, and abuse.

  • A refer-a-friend bonus scheme.

  • Ongoing support throughout the registration process and your placement.

  • Regular contact from your dedicated Flourish Education consultant.
