Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a motivated Early Years Practitioner to provide flexible cover across private day nurseries in Huddersfield. You will support learning through play and daily routines, working with experienced teams to create a safe, welcoming environment for children.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months UK experience and may hold Level 2/3 Childcare qualifications. Flexible hours and potential longer placements are available.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months experience working with children in the UK.
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable).
Previous experience in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting.
Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Ability to use own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments.

Responsibilities

Support children's learning and development through engaging activities, creative play and daily routines.
Work alongside nursery teams to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.
Provide flexible cover across different nursery settings.
Contribute to smooth daily operations and routines.
