Cambridgeshire County Council is recruiting for an Early Years and Childcare Adviser (Maternity Cover). The role is mobile, offering a mix of home, Sunley House (Papworth Everard) and travel across Cambridgeshire to support early years providers. Interviews on 24 November 2026.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant EY qualification and bring extensive experience in management and direct childcare practice. A driving licence is required to visit settings.

Formación

• Must hold a relevant qualification in early years.
• Minimum two years post-qualification management level experience.
• Minimum five years direct work experience in childcare practice.

Responsabilidades

• Quality improve and support identified Early Years and/or Childcare settings to ensure high quality sustainable provision.
• Deliver training and advice on EYFS, promoting equalities, inclusion and safeguarding.
• Provide advice and support to settings in all aspects of EYFS to raise children's outcomes and enthusiasm for play and learning.
• Support development of settings to increase capacity for inclusive education for vulnerable groups including SEND.
