Leicestershire County Council is recruiting an Early Years Expert at Hand Advisor to join the Early Years, Inclusion and Childcare Service at County Hall. The role focuses on supporting developmentally young children, promoting inclusion, and advising settings and schools on effective strategies to improve learning and welfare.

The post involves collaboration with a skilled team, DBS checks, and potential travel to multiple venues, with flexible working options discussed during selection.

Formación

• Hold a relevant Level 6 qualification in Early Years (e.g. Qualified Early Years Teacher, Early Years Professional) with evidence of further SEND development.
• Excellent knowledge of school readiness and how to support settings, schools and families to help developmentally young children.
• Experience of observing and evaluating learning quality and providing feedback to staff.
• Well developed organisational skills with flexibility to travel to various venues.
• Excellent communication and listening skills with ability to engage and support schools during challenging circumstances.
• Ability to promote inclusion by modelling best practice and guiding Early Years settings and schools.
• Willingness to travel to various locations as required.

Responsabilidades

• Model strategies and give advice for settings and schools to support developmentally young children.
• Support schools and childcare sectors to develop high-quality inclusive provision and curriculum.
• Offer advice to parents and professionals and signpost to other support agencies.
• Keep records as required by the Senior SEND Advisors.
• May require work outside normal hours.
• Attend training courses, conferences or meetings as needed by your training needs and service requirements.
