Job summary

Leicestershire County Council’s Early Years Inclusion and Childcare Service seeks an experienced Early Years Improvement Advisor to develop and support high quality early years provision across the childcare sector. You will provide advice, training and guidance to pre-schools, nurseries and childminders to meet Ofsted expectations and EYFS standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant level 6 qualification and evidence of professional development.
• Outstanding early years practice in the sector or school experience.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and SEND code of practice.
• Ability to observe, evaluate and provide feedback within improvement processes.
• Experience in staff development and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support high quality early years provision across the childcare sector.
• Provide advice, guidance and training to pre-schools, day nurseries and childminders.
• Champion needs of disadvantaged children to access high quality education.
• Lead and implement EYFS principles in practice and liaise with partners.
• Travel across Leicestershire as required and share safeguarding messages.
