Job summary

Panda Waste is hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for our Birmingham team. You will operate modern vehicles for commercial waste collection from our Birmingham depot, with guaranteed hours and a total weekly schedule.

We offer early start times between 04:00 and 05:00, paid breaks, weekly pay, and bonuses for OTIF and bin collection. A company pension, death in service benefit, and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Essential: UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph card.
• Physically fit for manual handling and waste containers.
• Solid understanding of driver compliance, EU hours, and daily defect checks.
• Strong communication and Birmingham-area knowledge; professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work rotational Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for commercial waste collection.
• Complete efficient collection routes and tidy customer sites.
• Weigh bins and record collection data on-board.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks; report defects and follow waste regulations.
• Provide professional on-site customer service.
