Job summary

Panda in Leeds is seeking a skilled HGV Trade Waste Driver to safely collect and transport commercial waste using our modern Class 2 fleet. You will start early, work Monday to Friday, and play a key role in sustainable waste management.

The role requires a valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, tachograph card, and proven waste-collection experience. You’ll report on safety, complete digital records, and optimise routes while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification or CPC card.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Proven HGV operations experience, preferably in waste sector.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicles on trade waste routes.
• Adhere to DVSA regulations, WTD, drivers’ hours and waste duty of care.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain accurate digital waste transfer notes using tablet.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity.
• Uphold health and safety standards and report incidents.
