Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking an Early Learning Lead for Grange Farm Primary School to join the Leadership Team from January 2027. You will lead and develop the Early Years curriculum in Reception, model teaching excellence, and drive educational progress for all children in the phase.

You will ensure smooth progression into Key Stage 1, working closely with KS1 and Year 1 staff, while maintaining a clear focus on improving outcomes and sustaining high-quality teaching across the phase.

What is the job role?

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Grange Farm for somebody to join the Leadership Team as Early Learning Lead from January 2027. Grange Farm are looking for somebody who has a clear vision, passion for early children's learning and a track record of success of delivering an engaging curriculum in the Early Years environment. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of modelling excellence in teaching and learning and curriculum development in Reception, alongside leading and managing the educational progress of all children in Reception and all staff in the phase.

Alongside overseeing the development of Reception at Grange Farm, the successful candidate will also have responsibility for ensuring strong foundations that are taught in Reception continue into Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will work closely with staff in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1 staff.

• Is able to demonstrate excellent teaching within Early Years.
